FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Why isn’t this workshop suitable for someone who wants to be an actor, writer or director?
This workshop is more for people who want to have a career working on other people's films. For example, roles in the camera, art, costume, editing, production.
The career pathways for acting, writing, and directing are very different to crew roles.
A writer or director might work on just one project a year but a crew member might work on 6.
I hope in the future to do a workshop for the others but it's a very different pathway and a lot harder to achieve success. Saying that - if you wanted to be a writer/director/actress working as a crew member can be a great way to build relationships and earn some money whilst working towards that goal.
Ooof - $660 is a lot of money. How can you charge so much? Do you do any discounts?
Yes $660 is a lot of money, but my hope is that you earn more than this in your first week of work or that some of the financial literacy elements we put into place save you this much over a year! And the value from these workshops is insane! You benefit from my network and my 20 years experience in this industry to shortcut yours AND some great gifts come with the workshop to!
We do offer discounts—you may start seeing them pop up over a few sites—and I’m hoping that I will be able to secure a few sponsorship positions, and should enough people buy tickets for the thisworkshop we will be introducing a scholarship position to all future workshops.
